Seek Low Suction Air Motor
By Tim Baxter

Dear MMDers, My brother's 1915 upright was rebuilt by someone who
didn't see the necessity of restoring its original Pratt-Reed air motor
(this is a small tubed, very low vacuum air motor). Instead, it
appears that a rather high vacuum, Standard or Simplex motor was put in
its place. The Pratt-Read is sort of a low vacuum system, and now the
stack is robbed of volume, making pumping a rather strenuous task to
achieve a reasonable volume.

Does anyone have any sort of low-volume air motor out there, especially
a Pratt-Read, that they would part with for some sum of $$$?

Thanks,

Tim Baxter
