Merry Christmas! Just a quick note to let you know that Bill Kibby's
Piano Archive is now known simply as "PianoGen" and the new e-mail
address is <bill@pianogen.org.geentroep>. [please remove .geentroep
if you write to Bill]
I have been suffering from M.E. (chronic fatigue plus muscle and joint
pains) for some years, and my health is variable, so I depend very much
on any income I can derive from answering piano enquiries by post, and
would be grateful if you could set up links, or pass on enquiries, to
help me to make contact with anyone who requires historical or
practical information about pianos or piano makers, etc. (Although our
web site is not set up yet, various firms have kindly provided links to
our e-mail address.) You may wish to copy the following information:
Bill Kibby has been collecting piano information since he began
tuning pianos in 1963, and has amassed what is probably one of the
world's best collections, although tending to favour British firms more
than others, because of limitations on funds for research.
The archive includes thousands of prepared pages of text with over a
thousand original low-resolution clip-art items, plus as many full-page
illustrations of paperwork, pianos, etc.. Think of it as a huge
encyclopedia of pianos, but you only buy the pages you want.
N.B. Although the bare information is available by e-mail, the proper
page layouts and illustrations are not Internet-friendly yet, so a
postal address is useful.
Wanted: Any kind of paperwork or information about pianos and piano
makers, such as ads, articles, booklets, books, catalogues, diagrams,
directory lists or pages, guarantees, letterheads, pictures, postcards,
posters, price lists, receipts, record sleeves, trade cards, warranties,
&c. If you can supply any of these, or lend them for copying, please
contact...
