FS: CD of Seabreeze Park Verbeeck 165 Band Organ
By Matthew Caulfield

The Seabreeze band organ CD (that I know several people have been
asking about for the past year or two) is finally ready for release by
Dynamic Recording Studios, Rochester, N.Y. This CD was recorded from
the replica Wurlitzer 165 band organ which Seabreeze Park had built by
Johnny Verbeeck, of Belgium, in 1996 to replace its real Wurlitzer 165,
which was destroyed by fire on March 31, 1994.

The new organ has a complete library of all surviving 165 rolls in the
form of recuts, and some of the best -- but not so often heard -- tunes
from that library were selected for this CD. Even if you are not
thinking of buying the CD, do visit its web page just to enjoy the
wonderful pictures and the story of its making. The site also offers
some sound bite samples from the CD. Visit
http://www.dynrec.com/carousel/cmemories.html

A novel recording technique (which is explained on the web site) was
used to make the last selection on the CD, and it gives a lot of
realism and charm to the recording.
