Sankyo 20-Note Music Box Plays Book Music
By Robbie Rhodes

This catalog advertisement arrived in our mailbox yesterday. The
illustration clearly shows Z-fold book music, so I assume that it's
a new adaptation of the Sankyo 20-note movement. The text says:

Player Music Box -- Plays 15 Christmas Carols

Like the player pianos of yesteryear, our hand-crafted
genuine wood music box plays 15 of your favorite Christmas
classics with the player piano principle. The moving tape
can be seen through the beveled acrylic window. Music
begins as the lid is opened and automatically stops when
it's closed. We feature any family name elegantly engraved
on a lovely 2" wide antiqued brass plaque, up to 12 chars.
Beautifully-detailed inner workings are made of gold-tone
acrylic. A Currier & Ives print graces the inside lid of
the box. UL-listed adapter, for indoor use. Measures
  8" high x 9-1/2" wide x 6-1/4" depth. Item cannot be gift
  boxed. Item #6057 -- $119.95

It's shown on page 35 in catalog "Holiday 2001", mailed from
