"The Simpson's" Theme Song & Modern Arrangements
By Glenn Amer

Hi there. The current thread of messages regarding the theme(s) of
"The Simpsons" reminded me that about five years ago I recorded most
of the major themes of this show for a piano roll. I never got around
to finishing it; if I still have my master files I will look at putting
it together. The manic nature of the opening credits I am sure would
suit a player piano (and test your bellows in the process!).

Regarding the modern songs, Mastertouch (in Australia) releases
approximately one new roll each week with a very strong emphasis on
the modern hits. (Everytime I write to MMD it feels like I am plugging
Mastertouch Rolls, well, you can't blame me for being a little
biased!). I must confess that my favourite 'modern' song roll (not
so modern really anymore) is the Mastertouch version of "Up Up and
Away" -- it is just fantastic! I wish I had been responsible for the
arrangement; then again, I must remember that I wasn't alive when it
was first published.

Thanks again to Jody and Robbie for this remarkable resource.

Best regards from Australia,

Glenn Amer
