Cabinet Restoration
By Eliyahu Shahar

First of all, I'd like to add my appreciation for the MMD along with
the others. Although my interests are in restoration of musical boxes
which is a subject that is touched on rarely, I still enjoy reading the
other articles.

If you are interested in restoring the case of your piano, I found an
excellent article by Terry Smythe on his website which was published
in the AMICA journal in 1984: http://www.mts.net/~smythe/papers.htm

In any event, whether you do the work yourself or have a furniture
restorer do it for you, it's always best to know the process so you can
find out if he's doing it correctly or if you'll be redoing it again to
undo his damage.
