'Dumbed Down' Piano Roll Music?
By Mike 'Fox' Morrey

Hey all...

Been idle for the last 6 months or so due to a new house and moving,
and now that I'm getting settled in, I'm posting about some stuff...

One of my beefs lately has been the 'dumbed down' of music on piano
rolls.

I bought a roll from QRS (Credence Clearwater Revival) and was mostly
disappointed. Not because of the rolls quality, but of the quality of
the music ON the roll. CCR has some great songs, and if you listen to
them, there's some really good piano work in them.

However, if you listen to the rolls, there's none of that in the roll.
(Perfect example: 'Lookin' Out My Back Door'. There's some nice fast
piano in it after the guitar solo, that does not exist in the roll.
At all.)

Now, one of the MAJOR reasons I got my player was because I love piano
music. Fast piano music. The thing all of QRS's rolls seem to be are
made for the person who wants to 'sing along' to some well known songs.
If I'm wrong here, please poke my eye out.

In either case, what are other's opinions regarding it, and can anyone
recommend some 'on-word rolls' that are fast paced? :>

Thanks!
Me.
