St. Louis Gateway & Heart of America Chapter Street Organ Festival
By Cynthia Craig
Dear MMDers,
This is a reminder that the last organ festival of the season, a street
organ festival, will take place October 19-20 in St. Louis' unusual City
Museum. Organ grinders are invited to play organs, show off there other
hobbies, and or just to have fun in the indescribable place of fun.
Friday night on October 19, participants will be treated to dinner at
the Craigs house in the historic Compton Heights neighborhood served by
the Gateway members. On Saturday, the grinding and show and tell will
begin at 10 am at the City Museum with lunch provided and wind up at
4:30 pm. A catered dinner will be served at 6:30 pm for everyone at the
Scott Joplin House's new Rosebud Cafe where a short business meeting
will precede the St. Louis Ragtimers musical program of "Rollin' on the
River", ragtime on piano rolls.
Registration is only $20 for as much fun as you can stand and ragtime
too. Contact me for registration information which I will email to you
so speed registration turn around time. You won't regret coming to this
fall rally. You'll come.
See you there!
