My planned "Florida Museum of Music" is no longer a go, so all
accumulated items must be sold. Here are the items I have gotten
together and their prices (offers considered):
1. Keith Prowse Ltd. English coin-op barrel piano. Turn of the
century piece. Original finish and painted floral decorations.
Music card reads: "East Anglian Automatic Music Works, Lawshall,
Bury St. Edmunds". Tunes such as "Just When the Twilight Dies"
and "Sheila O' Thay". Drop a coin and it plays, however, the barrel
alignment is off. Cracks in side of case, otherwise in good physical
shape. $1350.
2. 1931 Waltham player piano, beautiful original finish and keys,
50 rolls and bench, new rubber tubing, electrified, plays well.
Appears to have been lightly used throughout its life. $2600.
3. Windup singing bird in brass cage, 10" tall, 7" diam., realistic
movement and sound, works well. $395.
4. 1847 (pre Civil War) Chickering square grand, made by Jonas himself,
rosewood, physical condition excellent, playing condition fair, some
chipped keys, identical to (but three years older than) an instrument
in the Smithsonian. Original stool included. $3250.
5. 1955 Seeburg 100-J jukebox, unrestored original, spent last 20 years
in game room basement, very nice and works great, coin bypass switch.
$2550.
6. Tenor Banjo with mother of pearl resonator and neck $350.
7. "The Gibson" tenor guitar, needs one tuner, circa 1938, nice body,
bridge cracked but repaired, $450.
