Our church recently had a Dampp-Chaser installed on our Yamaha C7.
We've had quite a bit of tuning instability, and have attributed it
primarily to the ever changing temperature and humidity, as everything
else looks good.
While it is too early to give any definitive answer, it does seem to be
holding tune better so far. We'll see how it fares this winter.
If you do go the Dampp-Chaser route on a grand piano, be sure to get
both heater ("dehumidifier") rods installed. This is standard practice
according to the factory, and is how it is shown in the literature, but
our local installer only put one in initially. The cost difference was
minimal, but be sure you know what you're getting for the quoted price.
