At a house in Australia, I saw a very unusual musical clock. It was a
wall clock about 24-30 inches high and about 18 inches wide. It chimed
on the hour, and when it did, it played a different melody each time.
The most amazing part was that as it played the melody, the clock face
slowly split in two and as the face split in two, the two pieces
rotated around the center of the clock exposing the inner workings of
the clock. I believe that the clock face pieces finished rotating and
came back together again at about the same time as the melody finished.
The case was made of wood. I do not know if it was an electric or a
wind up clock. There was no manufacturer's name on it that I could
find. (I could not take it off the wall and look at the back.)
Have you ever heard of such a clock?
