I've recently taken in a Cecilian player action with wood valves,
not the more common metal ones. The design is the same, with five
gaskets per valve. However, the sizes are not the same.
Does anyone know of where I can get a full set of gaskets for this
action? If necessary, I can get some made locally, but the cost
will have to include the creation of the stamping dies.
The piano is a Farrand, made by Bush and Lane. It's fairly common
around here, but when I ordered hammers from Wally Brooks, in
Connecticut, he said he'd never heard of it. I always thought that
Farrand was sold country wide. Any comments?
