1960s Duo-Art Console Rips Rolls
By James Ramsey

I purchased a 1950s-60s vintage Duo-Art electric/pump console player.
It plays perfectly with electric with newer rolls, but the one older
roll I played was ripped on rewind.

Is it best to play old rolls with the manual pump? I did notice that
my older rolls which were only played on a pump player seemed to be
tightly rolled. Should they be loose? Would appreciate any
suggestions. I don't want to ruin any old rolls.
