Christie's next mechanical music auction takes place on 26 July
in London, and includes 131 of cylinder and disc musical boxes,
organs, automata, singing birds, gramophones, phonographs and radio.
Highlights include a rare Komet "600" 33-3/8 inch disc music box,
regarded as the largest disc musical box produced; a Lioret No. 2
phonograph; a Lambert conjurer automaton in rare Mephistopheles
costume; a Bontems singing bird ormolu clock; Phalibois monkey trio
automaton; and over forty lots of musical boxes.
