Hi All, This may not be about mechanical music but after looking
through the Archives I found that the subject has been discussed here
before.
A couple of days ago I downloaded a program for converting wave files
to MIDI files. I tried it a couple of times and it works okay. There
are a number of filters that I still need to learn how to use but I was
able to convert an old audio recording of my piano into a MIDI file
after playing around with the pitch filter. Seems that the combination
of my old cassette player's speed and my slightly out-of-tune piano
confused the program.
I only mention this program because it seems to show promise. The
program is called AmazingMIDI - Polyphonic Music Transcriber, Version
1.60 by Araki Software. I found it at http://www.tucows.com/ but it's
also available from Araki at:

Musically,
