Spoked Wheels & Height of Street Organ Crank
By Peter Neilson

Dave Clark asked for a source for wooden spoked wheels. There are at
least two different kinds. Some wheels have iron tires; iron-channel
rims fitted with rubber tires are also available.

A good source for information about everything concerning carriages,
including wooden spoked wheels, is Martin Auctioneers, Inc. of New
Holland, Pennsylvania. They will know of a number of Amish wheelwrights
in their area, very few of whom have phones and none of whom are on the
Internet. They also should be able to help one find good wheelwrights
in other areas as well. Call them at 717-354-6671 or see their web
page: http://www.martinauctioneers.com/
