Musical Box Maker E. Gaillard
By Philippe Rouillé

A small complement about the Gaillard music boxes : I found in the
Dutch book "Muziek uit stekels en Gaaten", by Jaco van Witteloostuijn
and Ruud Maas, published in Buren 1984, page 260, the following info :

(But where does this info comes from ? I am not a specialist in
Dutch, so my translation is approximate.)

> Gaillard
> E. Gaillard was a good maker of musical movements, most of them in
> clocks. He was active in the 1870/1890'. He made in the 1870/1880's
> music boxes with mandoline or pianoforte combs.

Does anyone know about a mandoline or piano forte box by Gaillard ?

Best regards,

Philippe Rouille (Paris, France)
