Johnson Organ Co.
By Dan Robinson

On the "latest news" section of the carousels.com website, there
is a link to a news article about a new wooden carousel which opened
this weekend in Salem, Oregon. It features a style 163 band organ
from Johnson Organ Co., which uses Wurlitzer style 165 rolls.

There are several articles about the carousel, and one has a list
of several tunes the organ plays. Some of them are familiar 165
tunes, such as "El Capitan," "American Patrol" and "After The Ball."
But other tunes are unfamiliar, such as "When The Saints Go Marching
In," "You Are My Sunshine" and "Chances Are." Therefore the company
must arrange and cut some custom new music for the 165 scale.
