European carousels are quite different in character from American ones,
of which I could point you to some really grand ones in the American
style dating from the heyday of American carousel manufacture, the
1920's.
But for European ones -- and I'm assuming you are not interesting in
one of those modern two-decker fiberglass monstrosities such as are
made by Zamperla in Italy -- I would recommend that you get in touch
with Brian Steptoe in England (BSteptoe@compuserve.com), who has spent
many years professionally photographing British and continental
roundabouts and is the author of the European carousel book "Jump On,
Jump On."
I'm sure Brian can point you to what you want. Granted that British
roundabouts are again somewhat different in character from continental
ones, but I still believe Brian can help you.
