Fair Organ in Hasbro "Roller Coaster Tycoon"
By Hans van Oost

Dear friends, I would like to express my thanks to all who responded
to my question about the band organ in the Hasbro game some time ago.
Douglas Bush put me on the right trail with: "All these tunes appear
on the CJMO recordings of the 69-keyless Voigt organ formerly at
Bressingham steam museum. As such it is probable that this is indeed
the organ heard in the game."

I have asked some friends here in the Netherlands who possess this
record, and it turns out that it is indeed the Voigt organ from the
Bressingham museum. By the sound of it I am almost sure that it was
built largely by Ruth, and acquired from the Ruth liquidation in 1938
by Mr. Heinrich Voigt, who made a proscenium for the organ. The Ruth
Style 35 instrument is now in the Netherlands, unchanged, and owned by
Mr. Buwalda.

Regards from the Netherlands,

Hans van Oost
