European Street Organ Tour 17-21 May 2001
By Peter Craig

MMD readers may be interested in joining a coach tour, operated by
Linda Hardiman of Glajd UK, which will be visiting various European
organ collections and events between 17th - 21st May 2001.

The tour starts from the UK on 17th May, picking up at Southampton,
Redhill (good rail connections from London) and Dover. During the
evening a visit will be made to the Bakkersmolen steam collection in
Belgium. On the following day, Dr Haspels will give a special tour of
the Utrecht Museum, giving plenty of time to listen to the instruments.

On Saturday 19th visits will be made to the Perlee organ works in
Amsterdam and the adjacent Pianola Museum. On Sunday 20th the whole
day will be spent at the KDV organ gathering at the Open Air Museum in
Arnhem. This is always an excellent event. There will be a further
visit on Monday 21st, before arriving back in the UK in the evening.

The cost for sharing a twin room is GBP 295.00, including four nights
dinner, bed and breakfast at a four star hotel. Single room supplement
GBP 75.00.

Anyone interested should contact Linda Hardiman as soon as possible,
email: <Linda.hardiman@glajd.co.uk> or tel.: 01980 621418 or
fax: 01980 621900.

Details of this and other tours can be found at http://www.glajd.co.uk/

I will be on the tour myself and look forward to seeing other MMD
subscribers!

Peter Craig
