Hi All, To all of you who responded to the article on this subject
that appeared in the email version of MMDigest 010327, Thank you.
I was sort of afraid this would happen. The mini-survey I conducted
on 03/27/01 was done to determine how many people were going to the MMD
website to read the Digest when it wasn't being delivered via email.
What's somewhat interesting to note is that, while over 90 people
responded when the Digest wasn't being delivered, only 86 people have
responded after seeing the article in the email version of the Digest
010327 that was delivered on 04/04/01. Hmmm...? Of course, this
exercise was all quite unprofessional and no real conclusions can be
based on the figures.
For those who are concerned that my posting was some sort of clever
advertising or marketing scheme, you have my word that none of the
information, comments, addresses or names will ever be used for
anything, period. I was merely interested in finding out how many
people would go the extra mile to read the Digest at the MMD site.
For what it's worth, many of the people who responded expressed
some concern about the future of the MMD website, the Archives and/or
the email publication. So, I pose this question to Jody and Robbie:
What are your long term plans?
Thanks again to everyone who responded.
Musically,
John A. Tuttle
