I may have to remove the airmotor governor from a friend's Ampico A.
What is the easiest way to do this? Is there some way (without having
to remove all the tubes to the drawer) of getting good access to the
governor? Can I remove the rollers from one end and let the drawer
hang from the arms that keep it rolling straight? Will the tubes still
reach? Any other suggestions?
I don't want to be under the drawer, removing the last screw that holds
the drawer up, and discover that all the tubes will be pulled loose if
I let the drawer down.
Please excuse me if this is a stupid question. I rebuilt my Ampico
over 35 years ago and have never had to remove the governor once the
drawer was in position.
Thanks for any suggestions,
David Sharpe
