The history of QRS music rolls is the cover story on the recent Rag
Times publication, the official journal of the Maple Leaf Club. Both
material previously published in Harvey Roehl's "Player Piano Treasury"
and new material may be found.
I also enjoyed a simply outstanding 88-note roll hand played by Richard
Zimmerman, a limited edition offering made exclusively for the AMICA
2000 convention. It featured rags and rag songs created in or about
the Sacramento, California area. This is a sparkling medley roll,
raggy without being pretentiously jazzy and metronomically correct.
I highly recommend it -- there may be a few copies left. Write The
