Magnus Player Organ
By Dean Randall

Does anyone know what on earth the "Magnus 5200 Organ" was? I know the
name Magnus only from those miserable toy-like organs produced in the
early 1960s. The 5200 was apparently some variety of player organ.

At any rate, there are at present offered on "that on-line auction",
a number of rolls. The label information is:

  Magnus 5200 Organ
  Self Player Roll
(and then title information - most seem to contain 3 selections)
  Magnus Harmonica Corp.
  Newark 5, New Jersey

The copyright information specifies 1952. So far as I can tell from
the pictures, the rolls appear to be about normal piano roll size, but
the photos may exaggerate the size.

Does anyone know what these rolls were for?
