Dutch Street Organs in "Red Light Amsterdam"
By Hans van Oost

The correct name of the organ owner is Leon Van Leeuwen. He is
a grandson of the famous Gijs Perlee, who owned the biggest and
most famous organ renting firm in Amsterdam, down from the 'thirties.
Gijs Perlee, in his turn, was a grandson of Mr. Leon Warnies, who
started the firm in 1875!

Mr. Van Leeuwen still runs the Perlee firm in the Westerstraat in
old Amsterdam. I hope you will enjoy the film!
