Dutch Street Organs in "Red Light Amsterdam"
By Mickey Sadler

Hi All, Last night, February 19, I tuned in to the last fifteen
minutes or so of a program on The Travel Channel (on cable) entitled
"Red Light Amsterdam". That was a lucky 15 minutes as the last part
was about street organs, including a description as one is being played
and a demonstration of punching books with a foot operated punch.

There was some information on "The Arab" which is now a national
treasure. I think the fellow that owns the organs is Leon Peerle,
although I might have missed the correct name. It is supposed to be
shown again February 25, 2001, at 7:00 PM EST.

Later,
Mickey E. Sadler
Dublin, Ohio
