Dutch Street Organ in 1941 Movie
By Hans van Oost

An amateur film of Dutch street life in 1941 (WW2) can be viewed at
http://www.smalfilmmuseum.nl/Films/Films.htm

You will find a film there called "de gracht" (the canal). It was made
by Emile A. Timan in Leyden, Holland. All kinds of activities are
filmed, including cleaning up, swimming, making a fire (naughty boys!).

Suddenly a street organ rides on, and everybody starts dancing. At
last an accordion man can be seen; unfortunately not heard, because
there is no sound with the film. Have fun!

Hans van Oost, KDV, Netherlands
