Wurlitzer 165 Sound Files At Website
By Matthew Caulfield

Yesterday I added to the sound files section of my Wurlitzer-roll
website six new MP3 files (rather large ones, to capture the sound
quality of the originals) of recordings made in 1985 from the Griffith
Park Wurlitzer 165.

The tunes posted are "Wang Wang Blues" (a very good arrangement),
"Estudiantina," "Entry Of The Gladiators (Thunder And Blazes)," "Jolly
Fellows," "Palesteena," and "The Minstrel King." That brings the total
number of tunes on the website (http://wurlitzer-rolls.com/) to
fifty-five: fifty-three of them recorded from five different Wurlitzer
165's, plus one from a 165-playing Ruth and one from a 165-playing
homemade organ.
