Hi All, Kim Bunker here from OC Piano/playerpianos.com I was at a
private viewing a couple of years ago when the Disneyland automatic
musical instruments came up for sale. The majority of these units were
taken out of the park because they needed to be restored.
I personally didn't want any, especially at the inflated offering they
were being sold for, because they needed so much work and had a lot of
dry rot, caused from being exposed to the elements for so many years.
On another note, a lot of the Knott's Berry Farm units came up, around
the same time, that were not used in the park anymore. They were in
the Knott's on-site rebuild shop (some of them repaired, some being
readied for repair) and all went to Butterfield & Butterfield's during
the sell-off to Cedar Point Amusement Corp. We acquired a lot of this
stuff from B&B's and still have many items left:
Seeburg "E", Nelson-Wiggen 3A, Link 2E, North Tonawanda monkey organ
20-key, Molinari & Sons monkey organ 25-key, plus several parts for
repairing the various instruments in the park and about a dozen
miscellaneous large music box cylinders. It's all for sale plus some
"new" items in our inventory:
1. Pierre Eich "Super Violon" works and looks 100%.
2. A late model Mills Violano see # 3927 around 1928, mahogany case
from England, also plays very well.
Call or email for more information. Our shop number is (714) 432-7426
and email is <ocpiano@pacbell.net>
Thanks for now
Kim Bunker
