Dear MMDers, The famous French mechanical organ maker Odin has now a
web site. You may look at his pages or contact him at :
http://www.orgues-de-barbarie.com e-mail: odin@orgues-de-barbarie.com
His instruments (from 24 to 42 keys) are very precise and are often
used in concerts, especially by the excellent noteur Pierre Charial
(classical, jazz and modern music). They appear too in many organ
festivals.
(Robbie, how do you call in English such "redactional advertising"?
Shall I explain that I do it because I (and I am not the only one)
_really_ think the Odin organs are good, and this posting will not
bring me a cent ! Probably I am stupid... Cheers !).
Best regards,
Philippe Rouille (Paris, France)

[ "Redaction publicitaire" is copywriting, i.e., writing text ('copy')
[ for advertisements in fine publications like MMDigest. As you know,
[ great skill and imagination is needed to convince customers that
[ your product is somehow better than the competitions, even if the
[ products seem to be identical.
[
[ In California, one learns first while writing copy for red wines,
[ then white wines, and finally maybe he becomes a copy writer for
[ an automobile advertising company. The same apprenticeship would
[ serve an aspiring copywriter for crank organs, so I know you will
[ someday be a master, Philippe !
[
[ I am also probably stupid and I don't earn a sou as the redacteur
[ (editor) of MMD. -- Robbie ;)
