Golden Gate Park Carousel Organ, San Francisco
By Bruce Pier

Herschell-Spillman park carousels of this size usually came from
the factory with a North Tonawanda Musical Instrument Works organ,
Style 187 or 188, depending what year it was built. It would have
been converted to play Wurlitzer 150 rolls by Ross Davis' organ man,
or possibly by Bacigalupo, who was a prominent Wurlitzer dealer in
San Francisco.

[ This is probably Louis Bacigalupi and Sons; see 980311 MMDigest,
[ "Bacigalupi West Coast Organ Company". -- Robbie

>From what information I have been able to obtain, the organ that came
with it when it was set up in the park ceased to be with it sometime in
the 1970s. If anybody has the exact time of when it left I'd like to
know.
