Dear Robbie, yes, here in WALDKIRCH (not Weitkirch) we tried to buy
the great collection of Mr. Jens Carlson. Last Sunday all the people
of Waldkirch had to decide whether or not to buy this collection.
So they voted: not to buy. It's too much money in all.
The Jens Carlson collection has more than 300 instruments, and we
thought to place it in the Elztal-Museum, which has really fine organs
and orchestrions but only from Waldkirch. So we'll go another way.
I will send soon some more information.
A short information now: we have now the Waldkircher Orgelstiftung
(Organ Foundation of Waldkirch) and we collect information and
instruments and we try to find more details of the 200-year-old history
of building musical instruments in Waldkirch. So we need the help of
all MMDians.

[ Thanks for writing, Wolfgang, and for 'setting the record straight'.
[ I imagine that rumors and gossip circulated for a long time. Now
[ the matter is settled, finally. (And so the presidential election
[ in the USA is settled: "Finally!" ;-) -- Robbie
