Hello MMD readers, This text was sent to me, tonight, so I'm
forwarding it to the Digest, as written.
I have enjoyed many Stoddard grands in the early 'Fifties, when
growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. The quality of construction
transcended most of the later models, and, the same 5-step expression
system (7 in theory) pretty much applied to all models, from the
Stoddard to the single-crescendo B models at the end of the line.
They do very well with the A rolls, especially those with lively
'jumps' in intensities, for this reason.
Regards from Maine,
Douglas Henderson
