There is a very detailed history of the Nallino automatic piano factory
of Nice, France, at the following URLs ;-
http://perso.club-internet.fr/mnallino/ (French)
http://perso.club-internet.fr/mnallino/piano_en.html (English)
The site was put together by a family member, Michel Nallino, and has
many photos. Enjoy!
Yours sincerely

[ The firm was founded in Nice, in 1872, by Michel Nallino's great
[ grandfather, Joseph Nallino, who emigrated from neighboring Italy.
[ At its peak the firm produced 50 instruments each month, which were
[ sold mostly in Germany and the north of France.
[
[ Several MPEG audio files are offered at the bottom of the English
[ web page. The recording of "Java", by Vincent Scotto, is very
[ entertaining; it was arranged circa 1925 for the 59-key Piano
[ Nicaea. -- Robbie
