Is the Piano Sustain Pedal Needed?
By Eric Shoemaker

Hi Group: Look folks, I personally tend to make more noises from my
instruments than perforated rolls do. I can assure you that whenever
your instrument left the factory, whether in 1900 or 2000, it sure
needs a working sustain pedal!

If I ever visit your home the easiest way to keep me from the piano is
to disconnect it and hide the linkage. Pianos without true sustain are
like Playboy magazines without the glossy pictures.
