About eight years ago I started the development of software with the
purpose of printing masters for punching barrel organ books. Recently
I rewrote the whole thing for use within Windows 95/98. Now it is a
mature product that supports the production of punch masters for a wide
variety of mechanical instruments such as barrel organs (carton and
paper, both metal key instruments as well as pneumatic instruments),
pianolas, cylinder pianos, music boxes and so on.
Input for the program are standard MIDI files. Not only the melody
notes are processed, there also is a provision for percussion and
register notation. Of course I can add support for additional
instruments if people are interested.
Within a few days I will publish "Midiboek for Windows 2.5" on my
Internet site, URL: huizen.daxis.nl/~Ppaardekam
Be careful: no www and use capital P.

I hope that you are interested. The program is and will always be
free, however the program is only fully operational after input of
a machine-dependant key I will have to provide. I do that to get
response, so I know who the users are, what instruments they have,
and so on.
The program is totally Dutch, but if there will be enough interest
from other than Dutch-speaking people, I can bring out an English
version within a reasonable period of time.
You are free to propagate this message and I hope to get response
from your side.
