Hi John, I e-mailed you when we first bought our player piano several
years ago, and I thought about you again when we purchased some old
piano rolls this week. There was one roll where the ends have pins on
them and therefore will not fit in our player. It is in mint condition
so I don't think it's ever been played, probably for the same reason.
The roll is a Metrostyle titled "Album Espagnol, Op. 221, No. 1 in G"
by Moszkowski, made by the Aeolian Company. Have you ever seen one like
this? Since we can't use it, do you know anyone who can? I think it
is quite old: US patents 1891 and 1902. It also has patents from Great
Britain and France listed. I look forward to hearing from you.
