Hi All,
I just want to echo Matthew Caulfield's recent comments regarding
the value of the MMD Archives. They are, without any doubt whatsoever,
the most valuable reference tool about mechanical musical instruments
in the world, period.
Now the trick is to get more people to use the Archives before asking a
question. In my opinion, that's the job of all MMD members. If you have
a presence on the Internet, put up a prominent link to the MMD. Heck,
put up a few links on various pages. If you don't have a web presence,
tell your friends about the MMD, and give them the address (URL).
Over time, people will access the Archives at the MMD like they
do some of the major search indexes. And the results they receive
will be much more accurate.
Two cents waiting for change,
John A. Tuttle
