Ampico Rolls Emulated for MIDI Velocity
By Paul Manganaro

I want to thank all of you who took the time to write to me about my
Ampico Midi files which are recorded with expression. I heard from
people all over the world. There certainly is a lot of knowledge among
the MMD members.

I learned that the velocities I recorded are in too high a range for
them to be enjoyed on a Disklavier. I also learned that my numbers
can be pushed through a program and re-crunched so that the velocities
coordinate with the Disklavier. I listened to the modified numbers
through my computer and the files sounded very good.

I received nothing but positive feed back from all who contacted me.
This feedback has encouraged me to get moving and complete the next
component of my unit so that I can start recording lot's of Ampico
rolls.

I really want to thank others who have been making MIDI files for
sometime who contacted me as fellow preservers. And thank you Robbie.
