Hello Co-Enthusiast's -- I've struggled and lamented about posting
this message but the time has come to let go of my Gulbransen Player
Piano. A brief history:
Purchased at Dallas estate sale in 1994. Case has been refinished,
pedals re-nickeled, stack rebuilt in 1999, wind motor rebuilt in 1999,
the latter two jobs completed by the Tyler area's oldest and only
remaining player technician. Keys are complete and beautifully aged,
new felts and shims below the keyboard.
Still needing attention is the upper action and the pumper bellows.
It was electrified by the previous owner. This piano would be great
for a learning project or for parts. The down side of this piano is
that the sound board is cracked and just reading about it's repair
indicates I want no part of it. Depending on where an interested party
lives, I'd even consider delivery.
Is anyone interested?
Sincerely,
Bill Hoot
