Clarification on Bottled Hot Glue
By D. L. Bullock

Our over-eager editor has changed the whole idea concerning adjusting
hold Heet glue pot thermostat. The following thought was printed in
the Digest but is not the one submitted to the Digest:

"The only thing you may have to do *once in a while* is to open the
glue pot up with the two screws and adjust the potentiometer in the
bottom a little hotter (clockwise)."

The correct thought is "only thing you may have to do ONCE" ... only
once. I have not readjusted in over 6 years.

Another edit that was incorrect was the following:

I alter a foam soda can into a "bottle cozy" to allow use of hot
bottles and to keep the glue hot a little longer.

The line that was written was:

"I alter a foam soda can cozy to allow use of hot bottles and to keep
the glue hot a little longer."

A foam soda can cozy can be found at most convenience stores to keep
your 12 oz. aluminum can Pepsi cold longer. It is slightly too large
for the glue bottle and I slice a section out of it and glue up the
seam to make it smaller.

Perhaps I could be consulted before changes are made in the future,
please.
