Mechanical Music Museums in Washington, DC
By D. L. Bullock

Joyce, If you are going to Washington DC and want to see instruments,
by all means call the Smithsonian Institute and tell them when you
will be there and that you want to see music boxes, automatic musical
instruments and other automata. They have _way_ more than they can
show you in the main building.

If you can schedule it, they will take you across the river to see the
music warehouse. A decade ago they uncrated a Violano that the company
had given them decades earlier. It was brand new. They have extensive
collections of everything made in America.

D. L. Bullock Piano World St. Louis
