Remote Organ Blower Installation
By Ken Vinen

John -- I have about twenty feet of pipe from my blower located in the
basement! On my unit, the suction is a box pump in the top of the
instrument. Some Reproduco players had a combination box for both
pressure and suction. I don't see a problem running either, for the
distance you are talking of.

If you use flex pipe for the pressure, you may end up with a problem of
the flex pipe shaking with pressure change when playing music, and also
being set in motion by the tremolo which the rolls keep in play 95% of
the time. If this happens, it's makes tuning the pipes very hard
because the beats are not steady.

One main concern is this: a remote blower for sound proofing depends
a lot on having no air leaks. This unit requires a _lot_ of supply air
to blow the pipes. If you have your blower in a sound proof closet,
where is the make-up air [re-circulation] coming from?

Enjoy your Reproduco.
