J. Lawrence Cook was the 'Guest of Honour' at the MBSI Silver
Anniversary Convention, which was held at Saddlebrook, New Jersey on
28th September 1974.  MMD member Ken Vinen met up with him and they
dined together.  Lawrence signed the fly-leaf of Ken's Silver
Anniversary Book and they had their photograph taken.  Ken has kindly
allowed me to post both the previously unpublished photograph and
Lawrence's inscription on the J. Lawrence Cook page at :

The Jelly Roll Morton page has also been updated with a rare article
by Roy Carew entitled 'New Orleans Recollections', from the September
1943 issue of the 'Record Changer'.  A fragment of this appears in Bill
