Dear friends:  One of my top priorities for Whalom is to get a band
organ installed.  I figure maybe starting off modestly and upgrading to
larger models as funds permit, the ultimate goal being a Wurlitzer 165
or replica.  (I am more determined than ever now to get that replica
under way, only I have so little time these days!)

In the meantime, is there anybody on MMD who lives in the area who
would be willing to contribute the use of a band organ, at least for
the opening weekend, currently scheduled for July 22-23?  If so, please

I realize this is asking a lot, as I know what these things rent for.
But if anybody is willing to contribute to a worthy cause...

Also, anybody know of a good deal out there on a band organ, perhaps in
need of rebuilding, which we can get on a tight budget?  I realize that
these would be few and far between, but there have been things
surfacing from time to time which somebody turns up and doesn't want
for themselves.  If we could come up with one in dire need of repair,
but reasonably complete, it would help us get one permanently installed
that much sooner.

I guess what our nonprofit group would really like to find is an organ
donor -- but a loaner would be great too!
