Gabel "Automatic Entertainer" Jukebox
By Bernt Damm

Hello all, I have never seen one but I spent quite a few nights
reading about it and looking at pictures of the mechanism, etc. That
was really a great machine -- purely mechanical and complicated too!

I read that it all worked with a single revolution of the crank handle
and it was coin operated. This would mean something like: Choose the
record, transport it to the table, change the needle(!), wind up the
gramophone spring, put the arm in position, play the record, remove the
arm, return the record to the record stack and shut down. All
initiated by one revolution of the handle!

I wish I had one...

Regards,
Bernt Damm
