I have a "PianoLodeon No. 909 - Fully Automatic Player Piano Also
Can Be Played Manually - Electrically Operated Authentic Replica of
Full Size Model - Made in USA - J. Chein & Co. Burlington, NJ"
I got this out of my grandmother's attic. It is a miniature player
piano but I cannot get it to work. It will be going into the
dumpster soon unless someone would want it. Is it worth finding
someone who would like it, or is it junk? I hate to fill up a land
fill with something that someone may find valuable. It has some
music with it. I would like to find someone close by (Wheaton,
Illinois, near Chicago) to give it to if interested. Do you have a
general info site for such things?
Please respond if you can help. Otherwise I will just pitch it.
Thanks.

[ Yes, your PianoLodeon may be of interest. We have heard
[ of a dealer who restores them and sells them for around $500.
[ Other reports indicate these will sometimes sell on eBay for
[ $150 to $300. I can't guarantee you'll get this amount of
[ money, but it's clear that there are people who would like
[ to save it from the landfill.
[
[ I am going to forward your request to the Mechanical Music Digest.
[ There are a number of readers in your area. I hope one of the
[ writes to you indicating an interest. If you don't get any
[ responses, please write to me again and I will call one of them
[ up and give them some extra encouragement.
[
[ Good luck, and thanks for writing.
