Prof. Alan Wallace sends another interesting article which was
published in the May 1966 issue of Ebony magazine, pages 125-128.
The article, headlined 'The Old Piano Roll Man', is full of items
and data about this remarkable musician and piano roll arranger.

Alan Wallace and his wife Leah, are currently researching the Athens,
Tennessee, archives for information on Lawrence's family background.
They have discovered that his father, Jacob Lawrence Cook, was listed
as a preacher in the 1900 census.  When I have collected all this newly
discovered information, it will appear on the J. Lawrence Cook page.
