The reason you couldn't find anything on the German patent #2239 is
simple: it is Swedish patent No. 2239 dated August 13, 1889, granted
to the brothers Anders Gustaf and Jones Wilhelm Andersson for a
"Piano Harp".

I acquired an almost identical instrument from Phil Jameson a while
back which I use as a novel stand for a large music box. Mine has a
second barrel stored within the instrument itself. It's rather crude
and is primarily a novelty.

When Phil sold the instrument to me he sent me a copy of a four-page
article originally printed in "The Music Box" issue of Christmas 1978,
detailing the instrument, its history, and some of the text of the
original patent.

If Christian will email me his mailing address, I will try to send him
a copy of this article.
